The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is transforming the way industrial assets and processes are managed and controlled. Focusing on supply chain management, a new study by satellite connectivity company Inmarsat reveils that supply chain managers expect the IIoT to increase their annual revenues by 10% within 5 years, as reported by Supply Chain Management Review.

IIoT infrastructures are expected to improve transparency within the global supply chain, allowing businesses to automate processes, reduce operational waste and speed up rate of production, leading to higher revenues and lower costs.
