Tokyo, Sydney and Copenhagen are the most reputable Cities in the world, says Reputation Institute’s 2018 City RepTrak, one of the most authoritative annual survey about City reputation.
Cities were analyzed and ranked by measuring 13 attributes in three main dimensions related to economy, government and environment. The top three attributes driving City reputation in 2018 are safety, beauty and leadership, which together comprise about 33% of the final result.
Not surprisingly, Tokyo, Sydney and Copenhagen are perceived positively in all these dimensions, and they all invested in smart technologies to enhance urban services, improve sustainability performance and overall livability. As Smart Cities achieve superior results, even for reputation, they are able to attract more visitors and gain support from relevant stakeholders, including intentions to live, work, and invest in the City.
