MinebeaMitsumi has just announced its sponsorship of Expo 2025 Osaka, the universal exhibition taking place in Japan from April 13 to October 13, 2025. Under the theme ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives‘, the Expo is an extraordinary opportunity to showcase and experience cutting-edge technologies to create new ideas, and help resolve global issues facing humankind.
MinebeaMitsumi will act as venue development supplier and provide 178 units of its high-performance smart LED streetlights and 11 units of its Smart Gateways. All devices will be connected to a wireless mesh network and managed via a Central Management System (CMS), enabling remote monitoring, scheduling, and lighting control.
The innovative Smart Lighting installation will contribute to lower power consumption and overall CO2 emissions. Also, thanks to the optical design that prevents upward light leakage, the smart LED streetlights align with Expo Osaka 2025’s eco-conscious lighting concept and ensure an optimal nighttime environment for the exposition.
