Software QA / Test Engineer

Main responsibilities

  • Work on early stage of software development cycle to define user stories and uses cases to be then mapped in upcoming test frameworks and procedures
  • Define the acceptance criteria of new features and improvements
  • Create, maintain and execute detailed documentation of test cases for current and upcoming features
  • Identify risks to test goals and escalate/plan accordingly
  • Monitor, manage and communicate with developers on defects
  • Actively cooperate with the engineering team for continuous improvement of software development quality
  • Ensure tests are running in Continuous Integration (CI) model and moving towards Continuous Delivery (CD) goal
  • Maintain and improve Software Quality Assurance (SQA) methodologies and frameworks including supporting tools and platforms

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Proven experience on automated test development and building automation test libraries
  • Solid understanding of test methodologies and iterative development
  • Knowledge and experience on software engineering methodologies: lifecycle, quality assurance, continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies, source control management, coding standards, code reviews, Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of IoT platforms, networking, embedded applications is a plus
  • Prior working experience with Load/Performance Tools, and API testing tools is a plus
  • Understanding of micro-services oriented architecture and its impact on testing strategies
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructures is a plus
  • Experience in compatibility/usability tests
  • Experience with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) tools and techniques, and bug tracking systems

Software Engineer

Main responsibilities

  • Develop applications and software components for back-end and communication middleware, running on embedded Linux platforms and Linux servers
  • Enhance application performance with extensive use of high-performance computing technologies and distributed database
  • Promote new technologies, proactively looking at innovative applications

Qualifications

  • University degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent discipline
  • Proven experience in software development on Linux and Linux embedded operating systems
  • Database engineering and optimization
  • Knowledge and experience on software engineering methodologies: lifecycle, quality assurance and testing techniques, continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies, Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of IoT platforms as a plus
  • Knowledge about server side logic, how server side interchanges data with users and devices, data model, data storage and security solutions
  • Knowledge about devops tecnologies, such as docker and configuration languages
  • Knowledge about front-end technologies and integration
  • Proficiency in back-end programming languages such as C++, go, python, java, javascript
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Italian mother tongue, fluent in English
